BGMEA Signs health tourism deal with EcomHealth
Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) on 28 April 2011 inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore-based EcomHealth to provide medical facilities to the BGMEA in Singapore.
According to the MoU, EcomHealth, medical associate of SingHealth, will assist the members of BGMEA to get visa, air ticket and appointment of doctors in some selected hospitals of Singapore.
Maqsudur Rahman, Chairman of BGMEA health centre in Gulshan zone and Eusuf Ali Talukder, Advisor of EcomHealth, signed the deal on behalf of both sides. BGMEA president M Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, First Vice-President Faruk Hassan, Vice-President Siddiqur Rahman, representatives of EcomHealth were also present at the programme.
“Usually its very hard to get a visa and appointment of a doctor to go Singapore for treatment but if we recommend for that it might be easier to get,” Eusuf Ali Talukder said while describing about the benefit of the contract.
EcomHealth is associated with Singapore General Hospital, KK Women’s and Children Hospital, Changi General Hospital, National Cancer Centre Singapore, National Heart Centre Singapore, National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore National Eye Centre National Dental Centre Singapore, for treatment facility.
